Physical Damage

In some cases, a very desirable specimen that is physically damaged can be “staked” to allow for rerooting. Cracked limbs can be “bolted” to extend the life of the tree. A procedure such as “cabling” can be performed to stabilize a questionable branch or reinforce a healthy tree to prevent trunk splitting. There are, however, situations where no procedure can reverse the damage and removal is the only option.
